FAMILIA Y AMIGOS!!! :D October 12, 2015
HEEELLLO! :) SOOO it has been a pretty good week. We have some people progressing to baptism. And I couldn`t be happier! HAHA Actually I could because for reasons not known to me. My comp has to change areas this Wednesday... GOOOOSH! Haha No I am just hoping that my new comp will be just as good! HAha But ya things are good.
So this week I had to teach the class of gospel doctrine. I mean I have had to teach it many times. And on the spot. But this week they assigned me to do it. So I got to study it. And the topic was........ The MILENIUM!!! Haha And for the first time I realized that I didn`t know like the details of the Milenium. So I got to study it in the book called Doctrina de Salvacion. And Man!!! It is going to be sooo cool! I really want it to come now! It was also a really fun class. Like when I have time to prepare the class it is fun! We kind of had a skit to show about temple work. I had my comp be a person named Habib mohamad from some Arabian Country that never heard about the Gospel in his life. :) And we talked about temple work. And I don`t know it was just a fun class to teach. :) But that is really all that happened. I got bit by a little dog. And may have accidentally kicked in the face... But just a little like very soft. :)
But I got my package! Woot Woot! Thanks for the shoes! And the treats! It shall be awesome to have them.
So I don`t have much time but I want to share what our President wrote us. Super cool enjoy! :)
I found this story that is a good point of how we can become the best we can be. It is in the details of our lives. The years, months, weeks, days, hours, minutes and seconds and what we do in the moments that make us what we are.
Several centuries ago, the emperor of Japan commissioned a Japanese artist to paint a particular species of bird for him. Months passed, then years. Finally, the emperor went personally to the artist's studio for an explanation. The artist showed a blank canvas on the easel and within fifteen minutes had finished a painting of a bird. It was a masterpiece! The emperor, who admires the painting and the great skill of the artist, asked why there had been a long delay. The artist then moved from his canvas to his cabinet where he kept his things. He took from his cabinet armfuls of drawings feathers, tendons, wings, legs, claws, eyes, beak - virtually all aspects of birds, from virtually every angle. He placed these in front of the silent Emperor, who nodded in understanding. The magnificence of any set can never be greater than any singular magnified detail. To have a great life, fight for an excellent year. Within that year, fighting for an excellent month, and within that month, fighting for a great day. On the day, fighting for a good hour. A great life is the sum of many great moments! That's what happens with our mission. The years are composed of months, weeks, days, hours, minutes and seconds. As we work to make those seconds, minutes, hours be the best. Then our whole mission will be a success. We will remember this as one of the best times of the formation of the character of our lives.
We can apply this to our lives people! Take advantage of everything! Love ya guys! And my comp says he loves you guys as well! :) Elder Sladers :)
WOW!!! :) CONFERENCE!!! October 7, 2015
I just feel like a Little boy on Christmas day. I love GENERAL CONFERENCE!!! :) I don´t know why but it just FILLS ME UP!!! Haha Anyways I have some interesting news...
I am now Zone Leader. I don´t know why I mean I just barely was District Leader. But I am excited about this because I am with another ZL named Elder PEREZ and HE IS AWESOME!!! :D We get along sooooo well. And I am in a place called Huasteca. It is the same zone I was in like 4 changes ago. Just a different área. So ya. :) I am pretty excited to just be JALANDO COMO LOCO!!! WOOT WOOT! Man it is soooo great. To be with this guy! :) All I can say is that the Lord knows our limits. Haha But things are good. The Lord is blessing us and I just love this opportunity to get closer to him.
So I just wanted to share some impressions of General Conference. I loved ALL OF THE TALKS!! So many things to put into practice and change. It is so great. But I obviously went to conference with a question. And it was answered in a very interesting way. It was not really what was said. But what they said made me think of something. :) My question was the following. I have seen many great missionaries kind of die at the end of their misión. Or get tired. They were super great but I don´t know what happened. But maybe their excitment died off. And that scared me a Little bit. These great missionaries. Anyways my question was how can I avoid that? How can I continue ALWAYS do what the Lord wants me to do? with Energy and a whole heart. :) And it came through President Monson´s talk. And David A Bednar´s talk. It came to me. How is it that this man. Thomas S Monson can dedícate. His WHOLE LIFE energetically, constantly serving without getting tired, or better yet, Lazy. Here we are sometimes battling with feelings of wanting to be lazy. And this opportunity or misión is only two years. I realized in this moment that our leaders don´t run off of energy. It is something else. I believe it is faith, maybe love. Watching President Thomas S Monson in his talk battling with strength. And STILL Serving the Lord with all of his Might, mind, and strength. His example gives me the courage. And the motivation to press on and FIND what it is that keeps them going. I love the Lord. I have a testimony of this great work. But I still feel like I need to find more to be able to do what the Lord desires of me. All the way! I need to get closer to the Saviour. And I invite everybody to do the same. I know that is obviously what we are trying to do. But have that in mind. I know that this church is true! I love you guys! Thanks for your support and love! Have a great week. :D

Amo la mision. September 28, 2015
Hello my peeps! So I am just going to start out with this week was the HARDEST week of my mission. And I would rather not go into details. BUT!!! The church is still true. And that is what matters. knowing that I really don´t want to explain what happened this week. I am going to go ahead and jump to the next step.
I cannot believe that Richard G. Scott died! I loved his talks. And I loved the fact that he spoke perfect spanish. But like the rest of them he is soaking up the sun in the spirit world... Or who knows but that is what I imagine. :)GENERAL CONFERENCE IS THIS WEEEEK! AND THEY WILL CALL 3 NEW APOSTLES!!! :D I am super duper stoked. I have a feeling that at least one some won´t be be american. :) I decided that this time I am not going into the english room to see it. I am going to watch it in spanish. #1 because I was called to serve in spanish #2 because the people feel like we are seperating gringos from Mexicans. #3 I feel like I pay more attention in Spanish... It is weird but ya! I hope to recieve revelation. But A LOT of it. :)
I read something in the Liahona this week. That is super interesting. It talked about what was more important. Reading the scriptures or the living day prophets. I said well they are both the same. A Prophet is a prophet. Doesn´t matter when. BUT!!! It said studying the words of the living day prophet is more important... because he tells us new revelation and Gods will in this moment. I was like WOOAH!!! and I am still trying to swallow that but that means that we need to studying more the words of living day prophets. But we can´t replace the scriptures. Just add to them.
I challenge you guys to go prepared to conference. With questions. Wondering what is it that god wants you to do next. :) And I shall do the same. I love you guys! Have a great Weed!

Hey Peeps! September 21, 2015
SOOOO This week was pretty awesome! :) It was pretty hard but it was great. We had tons of opposition for the baptism of Jaquelina. It was crazy! BUT!!! WE DESTROYED THE OPPOSITION!!! Haha I mean, it is good that there is opposition because it means that she is going to be an AWESOME member and be super faithful. But the baptismal service was sooo cool! :) The spirit was soooo strong. and She bore an amazing testimony. And I just felt sooo good to be like. I was a part of this... :) O man there is nothing better. Not even jumping out of airplanes. I mean they are pretty close but this was better. ;) Haha jk they aren´t even close. These moments just make the whole mission worth it. Even the chafa parts. but anyways I will send the pic that my comp sends me. :)
I want to leave you with some homework. I might have already shared this one time. BUT! I love it. Read Mathew 14. And study the reason why Peter started to sink. ALWAYS REMEMBER THE SAVIOR! :) OK? Always remember him! :) Haha I love you guys! It was short and sweet. But I am content. :) Sounds like that thing that Russ has is pretty cool. I kinda want to see it :) Haha It is always super great to hear from you guys! :) Love ya! #Churchistruebookisblue

September 16, 2015
Ok first off. I am sorry that I didn´t get my email off last week. That was super dumb because the internet went out. But things happen eh? Harrison is super duper precious! :) Super duper. Haha I am so happy for them and you guys. Grandma Nette wrote me and told me of all the babies that have come and are coming this year. It makes me happy. Haha
So this Friday Jaquelin is going to be baptized! :) And it just makes me happy. It has been an amazing experience with her because her mom and daughter are members. And for 5 years missionaries have tried with her and she just didn´t want anything. Through this experience I have been able to see how the Lord prepares the people over time. And they finally have the desire to follow the example of Jesus Christ and be baptized. O que GOZO!!!! It is moments like these that make EVERYTHING WORTH IT! The constant rejects and all of the sacrifices. I know that what happens on the mission is for a reason. :) So that has been good. But besides her we have been struggling a little bit with finding news... still. But WE SHALL CONTINUE!!! :D haha
This week has also been very Templish. I went to the temple today and the peace there is another witness of the truthfulness of the church. It gives me the strength to keep going. :) On Sunday it was the rededication of the Mexico City Temple. It was AWESOME!!! Pres. Eyering and Elder Holland were there. Elder Holland actually speaks pretty good spanish! Didn´t know that but it was cool! It was also very hilarious to see Pres Eyering not understand anything. Haha they had a translater but he tried to pronounce one of the Stakes and it is like an ancient Aztec King name and he slaughtered it. HAHA and the next one he just stops and looks at the translater with a big smile. And the translater says this crazy name and he just says Gracias. Haha :) But it was very spiritual. One of the area of the Seventy spoke and he talked about the open house of the temple where another religion came and said "I see the alter. But where is the sacrifice?" and talked about sacrifice and that the lives of us are the sacrifices. This talk reminded me of a scripture.
3 Nefi 9: 19-20
19 And ye shall offer up unto me no more the shedding of blood; yea, your sacrifices and your burnt offerings shall be done away, for I will accept none of your sacrifices and your burnt offerings.
20 And ye shall offer for a sacrifice unto me a broken heart and a contrite spirit. And whoso cometh unto me with a broken heart and a contrite spirit, him will I baptize with fire and with the Holy Ghost, even as the Lamanites, because of their faith in me at the time of their conversion, were baptized with fire and with the Holy Ghost, and they knew it not.
He doesn´t want sacrifices. He wants a broken heart and a contrite spirit. In the temple THAT is the sacrifice. A broken heart and a contrite spirit. :) That is it!
I love mission. I love the Temple. And I love the Gospel. And I know it is true. I love you family and friends!Victory hand :D
